We live in difficult times! From north to south, east to west, small shops to large, independents to multiples, the story’s the same – where have all the customers gone? No wonder war times slogans designed to encourage and keep up morale are so popular at the moment!
We’re keeping calm and carrying on at Wiemann at any rate. Our newest models, Brooklyn, London, Donna and Alassio – are now all finding their way onto shop floors and I’m pleased to say attracting repeat orders, even in these tough times.
Our new trade showrooms, at Signs Furniture in Edmonton, are now finished and open for business. It’s a significant investment and demonstration of Wiemann’s ongoing commitment to the UK market, for which we are very grateful. With 16 of our ranges on display, it’s an impressive sight (there will be more details and photos up on this site very soon!). This will be our main UK trade showrooms so all existing and prospective trade customers are invited to book a visit any time – just contact your local Wiemann representative to arrange yours. We’ll be using the showrooms for off-site training sessions as well.
When we’re not there, Signs say they’ve had a lot of interest from consumers, too and taken some good new orders: perhaps all retailers should invest in large Wiemann studios!
Apart from visiting the new trade showroom, there are a few other opportunities to see us elsewhere over the coming months and before the Interiors show in January. We’re delighted to be at the first Branded Furniture Show on 30 September and 1 October at the Cranmore Exhibition Centre in Solihull (full details at
www.thebrandedfurnitureshow.co.uk And once again we’re supporting our agents at the South West Show in Somerset (2-4 October). For more details click here

Well, not quite finally….I’m in the middle of a mid-life crisis – which is taking the form of taking up an extreme challenge. In November I’ll be cycling some 400 miles across central America – Panama, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. While I’m about it, I am hoping to raise some money for Help for Heroes.
