As I write this, I’ve just finished totting up the orders and new accounts we’ve been opening as a result of our attendance at the first Branded Furniture Show in Solihull. It’s been a very well marketed and organised event and has delivered a very satisfactory return on investment.
Reaction to our latest promotional range, Sunny, has been especially good – as one customer succinctly said: “It’s good looking, very functional and a really competitive price.” What more could you want?

It’s also white – and, judging from my visit last week to MOW – the German show where everyone airs their prototypes for feedback before taking finalised production models to Cologne in January – all the money is on white as the finish of 2013. As always Wiemann is combining it with other finishes for effective contrast. I particularly liked a new darker, rustic oak look it was trialling – it looks great with the white and mirrors. So, we expect a good few new ranges for the Interiors Show at the NEC in January (where we’ve got a new stand, nearer the entrance to Hall 5 and an impressive 25% larger than before!)
The other ‘product’ getting great feedback at the BFS is our brand new consumer brochure – a very smart A4 landscape styled 12 pager, which features a selection of key ranges plus a very useful matrix of all current ranges available in the UK, indicating their main finish options, and whether they are available as sliders, hinged door or robes with drawers. This will be a very useful addition to our armoury of support for retail customers, along with other pos, the website and Stockist Finder, in-store training for sales staff and of course, direct home delivery and installation.
If you’re one of our retail stockists reading this blog, contact your agent for copies, if you’d like some. If you’re a member of the public, you can request a copy via this website by clicking on the Request a Brochure button (feature coming soon).
