After the summer lull, we’re gearing up for a really busy autumn! Actually we kicked off early, with a sales meeting for our team here in the UK at the end of August see this site. We wanted to bring everyone up to speed and motivated for the coming months – usually our busiest time of year. It was gratifying to do that on the back of what has actually been a really good six months – we’re ahead of last year’s sales for the same period, which we think is fantastic in the present climate! It’s good to welcome over 40 new accounts this year – mostly from enquiries from the Interiors Show in January but also from our new relationship with AIS.
We were delighted to be able to show the team the brand new brochure Wiemann has produced specifically for the UK market. This is going to be an invaluable sales tool – focusing on a hard core selection of best-selling UK ranges, and highlighting our VIP and semi sold collections alongside the standard bedrooms and wardrobes. What’s more we’re going to make it available to download from the Wiemann UK website (www.wiemannuk.co.uk) – along with a number of other upgrades and additions to the site that are currently being made. We’re adding finish options to each product page for example – and the site does feature additional products not in the brochure.
So now we’re off to MOW, the ‘at home’event in Germany where prospective new products for 2015 are first aired. Wiemann have over 70, we’re told, which is exciting. Of course only a handful of those will actually make it into production but isn’t it great that they’ve got the passion to develop so many ideas!
We’ll be unveiling what emerges from the selection process at the January Furniture Show at the NEC In January but in the meantime we are still looking forward to meeting lots of customers, old and new, at the AIS show on 16 September and the South West show on 16-18 September.
